Welcome

Western Days is an exciting celebration in Independence, Oregon that you don't want to miss. Held annually for three to four days around the July 4th holiday, it is full of fun and activities for all ages. This year's event is scheduled to begin on the evening of July 1st, 2017, and end following the fireworks show on July 4th, 2017.

The Monmouth-Independence Rotary Club's Grand Parade is just one of the many events on July 4th, making it's way through Monmouth and Independence, and ending at Riverview Park in downtown Independence. Cascade Amusements will be hosting a carnival in the park, plus there will be Vendors, Artisans, Entertainers, Crafts, and Children's Activities; and at the Independence Amphitheater, there will be live entertainment.

A magnificent fireworks display will be presented over the river on July 3rd for Hometown Appreciation Day, and an even larger fireworks show on July 4th.  Both fireworks shows begin at 10 PM, and our vendors will remain open for business until midnight on those nights.  A $1.00 fee for everyone over the age of 6 is collected at the gates to Riverview Park in Independence on both July 3rd and July 4th.  These contributions help pay for the spectacular fireworks shows.  All other events and activities are free!

For true small-town family fun, come join us for the Willamette Valley's finest & most popular 4th of July holiday event.

This year marks the first price increase in gate admissions since their inception.  Gate Admission on July 4th will now be $2.00 per person.  The price increase is not being enforced on Hometown Appreciation Day, or on Wristband sales for July 4th, so pricing will remain at $1.00 per person for Wristband sales and also for Hometown Appreciation Day (July 3rd this year).  The Western Days Commission has decided on this price increase to allow them to provide a better public experience at the event by allowing new features and increased budget for those already existing.  We appreciate your understanding and support.
